Recent Additions - Grant applications considered and decisions made. Planning application for land south of Coads Green withdrawn. New Complaints Procedure available to download.
Grant applications from three local community groups were received and discussed at the Full Council meeting held on 1 December 2025 to view the decisions made select Grants under the Parish Council tab. At the Council meeting held on 1 December there was notification that the application for an agricultural building to be constructed on land south of Coads Green and west of the B3257 had been withdrawn. To view the councils response to all previous applications select Notice Board under the Parish Council tab and select Planning Applications. To view decisions reached on all planning applications in the parish select Planning Applications under the Parish Council tab. A new Complaints Procedures Policy have been adopted and can be viewed by selecting Policies under the Parish Council tab. The latest quarterly planning newsletter from Cornwall County Council is now available at :Planning News for Local Councils and Agents (cornwall.gov.uk). Information regarding road closures in the parish this month can be viewed by selecting Notice Board under the Parish Council tab.

Speed Monitoring on B3257

Between 21 and 28 October 2020, Cormac deployed a portable radar device that detects and records the speed of passing vehicles on the B3257 at Congdon's Shop to evaluate the effectiveness of recently completed traffic calming measures. The report published on 14 December 2020 shows that approximately 79% of all traffic was travelling at less than 40mph.

Rural Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme (Rural GBVS)
Gigabit-capable broadband connections offer the fastest and most reliable speeds available, and the Government is committed to a vision of a digitally connected Britain.
Homes and businesses in rural areas of the UK may be eligible for funding towards the cost of installing gigabit-capable broadband when part of a group scheme.
Rural premises with broadband speeds of less than 100Mbps can use vouchers worth £1,500 per home and up to £3,500 for each small to medium-sized business (SME) to support the cost of installing new fast and reliable connections.
Superfast Cornwall is encouraging businesses and residents that are beyond any existing superfast broadband rollout plans to apply to this scheme.
